As a Housekeeper on a cruise ship in New Zealand, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall housekeeping operations in passenger cabins, public areas, crew quarters, and other designated areas of the ship. 1. HOUSEKEEPER

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean and sanitize passenger cabins, including changing linens, making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms to meet high standards of cleanliness.
• Clean and maintain public areas such as lounges, restaurants, theaters, and recreational spaces to ensure they are tidy, presentably, and inviting for passengers.
• Monitor and restock housekeeping supplies, including toiletries, linens, and cleaning product to ensure sufficient inventory levels.
• Collect and process passenger laundry, ensuring proper handling, washing, ironing, and delivery of garments.
• Collaborate with fellow housekeeping staff, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations, efficient use of resources and timely completion of tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a hotel, resort, or cruise ship setting.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and proper use of cleaning agents.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast=paced environment with attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with passengers and crew members.
